Our 200-Hour  Foundation Yoga Teacher Training Certificate Course is not limited to aspiring yoga teachers; it is open to everyone who is interested in learning about the fascinating history, origin, and philosophy of yoga. And since the 200 Hour Teacher Training Certificate Course is a basic foundation course, it is certainly suitable for those with no prior training or experience in the practice. You can always join a batch starting in the next two months and start attending the recommended group and Andiappan yoga classes once you have confirmed your admission to the course. This will help you stay regular in your practice and prepare well for the teacher training course classes.

With the exception of 300hrs Adbvanced Hatha Yoga and 100hrs Inversion Teacher Training Course, all our courses we run are beginner friendly courses and does not involve intensive yoga practice. We exclude the demonstration of intermediate level poses to pregnant women, but otherwise, if you are in your earlier stages of pregnancy (and your due date does not fall within the course duration), you are welcome to join the course. We have had pregnant women take up and successfully complete the course before.

Assessments are conducted in two parts, theory and practical. For the theory part, you will be given a topic from the syllabus, where you need to write on that topic and submit it online. The word count is 1000 words. Practical Assessment : Practical assessment will be conducted on the last 2 YTT classes where you will teach a few poses from the syllabus with your YTT students group and the teacher will asses the teaching and give you review about how to improve your teaching techniques. Upon successful completion of both, you will receive the Course Graduation Certificate.

All classes are live streamed to enable students who prefer to study via online learning mode to do so at the comfort of their home. Please note the following options are available to Teacher Training students.
  • Students have the option to attend the teacher training classes online and/or at the studio.
  • Students have the option to attend the recommended group classes and Andiappan yoga classes online and/or at the studio.

We understand that schedules can be tricky! If you plan to travel or are unable to attend face-to-face classes on certain dates, we can certainly accommodate that. Many students have successfully taken some classes in one batch and completed the remaining classes in a future batch. Our yoga teacher training is structured in modules, so you don’t have to complete all classes at once.

Even if you're traveling and not in Hong Kong, you can still participate in classes via our live interactive online sessions.  If you happen to miss upto three classes you can attend the revision class in the same batch which is mostly held on Sunday afternoons to complete and revise the topics you missed.

The teacher can go over the topics and poses that you missed and revise them during these two revision classes. We also offer a flexible module retake option, allowing you to attend theory topics online while completing practical classes face-to-face at the studio. You can choose to take modules in different batches based on your availability. If you let us know the months or dates you'll be away, we can recommend a schedule that enables you to complete some YTT modules before your departure and finish the rest upon your return to Hong Kong.  This arrangement can be pre-approved during your admission process, and we can waive the admin fee (module retake fee) for you if you can let us know the dates before the start date of the course.

But if you randomly miss more than 3 classes after the start of the teacher training course, you can retake the missing classes in another batch by paying HKD 500 per module.
