Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you can. Most of our Teacher Training graduates are now full-time yoga teachers in Hong Kong as well as volunteer teachers in charity organisations, such as the Andiappan Yoga Community,(www.yogacommunity.org)  where we offer opportunities to teach yoga in various places in Hong Kong. The Andiappan Yoga Community is a registered non-profit organisation that aims to share the joy and health benefits of Andiappan Yoga teachings with as many people as possible. We organise social community events such as free yoga classes to the public in places with little access to yoga centre memberships. Our volunteers are all qualified yoga teachers with specializations to teach different groups of individuals, such as those with specific illnesses, disabilities, and the underprivileged. As of today, our graduates have been volunteering for the Andiappan Yoga Community in partnership with the following organisations:
  • Changing Young Lives Foundation
  • Autism Partnership School
  • Yan Oi Tong
  • Hong Kong Eating Disorder Association
  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital
  • SARDA - Rehabilition centre for drug abusers
  • Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation
  • VTC
  • Lok Sin Tong
  • Tai Kok Tsui Integrated Services
  • Impact  Hong  Kong

We understand that schedules can be tricky! If you plan to travel or are unable to attend face-to-face classes on certain dates, we can certainly accommodate that. Many students have successfully taken some classes in one batch and completed the remaining classes in a future batch. Our yoga teacher training is structured in modules, so you don’t have to complete all classes at once. Even if you're traveling and not in Hong Kong, you can still participate in classes via our live interactive online sessions.  If you happen to miss upto three classes you can attend the revision class in the same batch which is mostly held on Sunday afternoons to complete and revise the topics you missed. The teacher can go over the topics and poses that you missed and revise them during these two revision classes. We also offer a flexible module retake option, allowing you to attend theory topics online while completing practical classes face-to-face at the studio. You can choose to take modules in different batches based on your availability. If you let us know the months or dates you'll be away, we can recommend a schedule that enables you to complete some YTT modules before your departure and finish the rest upon your return to Hong Kong.  This arrangement can be pre-approved during your admission process, and we can waive the admin fee (module retake fee) for you if you can let us know the dates before the start date of the course. But if you randomly miss more than 3 classes after the start of the teacher training course, you can retake the missing classes in another batch by paying HKD 500 per module.
