Etiquette

Please respect the experience for yourself and others by following these simple etiquette:

Yoga studio room is exclusively used for yoga practice only

To facilitate proper cleaning, members are requested to enter the studio  not more than 5 minutes before the class and leave 5 minutes after the class.

Please note the following

1) All participants must check in at the reception before entering the class.

2) No food or drinks are allowed to be brought into the studio with the exception of water.

3) In consideration of others, please be quiet.

4) All mobile devices are to be turned off inside the studio.

5) Please keep the door way clear.

6) Please do not remove blocks, straps, mats from the studio.

7) Wear appropriate yoga gear.

8) Big towels are NOT to be brought into the studio as they are for shower use only.

9) Each member is allowed to get one small towel at the reception  and return it laundry basket after use.

10) All waitlist participants should wait at the reception until notified.

11) Members should refrain from reserving mats for others.

12) Once class starts, students will not be allowed entry.

13) Kindly refrain from using strong perfume or body spray.

No Shoes

As a gentle reminder, we maintain a no-shoe policy in our studio. We kindly ask that you please remove your shoes at the lift lobby and store them in the provided shoe rack before entering the reception area. We offer slippers for all members to use!

Attending a Class

Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your class to allow yourself ample time to sign-in and to prepare for class.

All classes start on time. Once the class starts, you will not be allowed entry. Please do not leave the studio while class is in progress.

Silence

The yoga studio is a silent room. Please do not talk while in the studio and studio corridors.

No eating

Eating or bringing food into the studio is strictly forbidden.

No mobile phones

Turn your mobile phones off or to vibrate mode. Do not bring mobiles into the practice rooms.

Class Booking

Class bookings can be made three days in advance of the scheduled class. It is important that you book your class in advance since some classes during peak hours may be more heavily attended than others.

The class sizes are also limited so it does not become too overcrowded. If a class you wish to attend is full, it is possible to be on the wait list and be notified as soon as an opening becomes available. Click here for more details about class booking.

Group Class Cancellation Policy

Early Cancel: All confirmed group classes may be early cancelled 3 hrs prior to the start of the class. Cancellations can be done through online website /mindbody app or by calling our studio during opening hours.
Late Cancel:  Any cancellation done less than 3 hrs prior to the start of the class is considered late cancellation. With recent COVID-19 situation, To be fair to other members we will implement a strict late cancellation and no show policy to ensure the spots are utilised fully considering the spot for each class. First time late cancellation /No show will lead to suspension of online booking priviledge for one week and subsequent recurrence will incur a penalty of HKD 350 for each time. Please be considerate to other members and make sure you cancel the class 3hrs before the start time.
For all late cancellations/no show the package will be deducted accordingly.
The above policy applies to all our Regular/VIP, Yoga teacher training members.

Sign-In

You must check in at the front reception before entering the studio for class even if you have reserved a space in advance.

Please show your membership card or a photo ID at the Front Desk in order to sign in and obtain a studio ticket for the class. Students without a ticket will not be able to attend a class.

On your first visit you will be required to fill out a new student registration form. Please be sure to sign a waiver and indicate any physical injuries or special health conditions.

Personal Belongings

Our studio accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of locker contents. Daily lockers are not for overnight use. Daily lockers are only used when the member is attending the class and the lockers must be cleared and the keys must be returned to the reception before leaving the studio. Contents from the daily lockers and shoe rack will be cleared every evening and the centre accepts no responsibility for any loss or damager of locker contents.

Preparation Prior to Class

We will provide everything you need for your practice: mats, props, towels and other amenities.

Yoga is best enjoyed on an empty stomach, so eat lightly or not at all for 2-3 hours before a class.

Make sure to keep hydrated by drinking water both before and after class.

Tell your instructor about any previous injuries or conditions you might have. This will help the instructor know how to adjust you or show you a modified pose if necessary.

Suspension of Membership

Please read the membership suspension policy in this page. Membership can be suspended only in case of pregnancy or injuries which render he/she unable to engage in or any comparable exercise which has to supported by a proof from a certified physician to be submitted.

All suspensions will incur an admin fee of HK$200 per month which need to be paid upfront. All membership suspension requests can be submitted online for processing. https://www.anahatayoga.com.hk/suspension/
