What is the assesment and assignment process of the course?

Assessments are conducted in two parts – Written Assignment and Practical Assesement.

Written Assignment : You will receive this assignment topic by email during the course and you can write it and submit it online via student portal. These are topics related and taught during your YTT classes and you can refer the course manual.

Practical Assessment : Practical assessment will be conducted on the last 2 YTT classes where you will teach a few poses from the syllabus with your YTT students group and the teacher will asses the teaching and give you review about how to improve your teaching techniques.

After the completion of the above two assessment process, Course completion certification will be processed.

What if I miss some classes in the teacher training batch I enrolled, can I retake in another batch?

Please note, you’ll have the option to attend all the classes of the course through an online via Zoom. This means that even if you’re traveling, you can still join the class online. The link to access the teacher training class will be available in your student portal.

If you happen to miss up to three classes in the teacher training, don’t worry. There will be a revision class held on last week Sunday afternoons during your batch timings where you can catch up on the topics and poses you missed. The teacher will cover those missed materials during these revision classes.

However, if you miss more than three classes and you want to retake them in another batch, you can apply for module retake. Details about this retake process can be found on this page https://www.anahatayoga.com.hk/yoga-teacher-training-missed-classes-module-retake/

If you informed us about the dates of the classes you’ll be missing during the admission process, you won’t have to pay the retake fee of HKD 500 per module, you can fill in the missing dates in the teacher training application form. This is because those missed classes were already approved for retake when you enrolled.

But if you miss more than 3 classes after starting the course, and if you wish to retake the missing classes, you will be required to pay the retake fee of HKD 500 per module.

How long do I have to complete remaining hours of courses? Can I change the course I originally enrolled in?

You have the flexibility to select any courses that fall within a 2-year window from the start date of your current ongoing course. This allows you to upgrade to the RYT 500 program and complete the remaining required course hours for RYT 500 certification. When enrolling, you can choose any courses initially. If you decide to switch to a different course or batch before it commences, you are entitled to one free transfer.

For instance, if you decide to switch from the 300-hour Yoga Therapy course to the 300-hour Advanced Hatha Yoga course, you can do so without paying an administrative fee (HKD 1000). or if you enrolled to Kids Yoga Course in Feb 2024 and wish to change to Kids Yoga Course November 2024 bach youc an do that. We offer one free course transfer or batch transfer if you wish to change.

It’s important to select a course that starts within the 2-year period so that you can complete all 500 hours within the given time frame. However, once the course you enrolled in has started, you cannot transfer to another course or another batch.

Please note, when deciding to switch course or batche, please be aware that your group and Andiappan Yoga classes for the upgraded courses will stay in the originally assigned batch.

If you are studying any ongoing teacher training course with us , you have the option to upgrade to our RYT 500 program. All you need to do is select the remaining hours required to complete the RYT 500 certification and just pay the course fee difference.

I have completed 200hrs course in another school, Can I just complete remaining 300hrs and get my RYT 500? What is the procedure?

As you have already completed a 200hrs foundation course elsewhere, this full RYT 500 program is not applicable to you unless you choose other courses which total 500hrs, However, you are welcome to directly enrol in one of the 300-hour course at our school to make up the RYT500 hours.  You will need to pay the fee for that specific course separatly and successfully complete the course in order to be eligible for RYT 500 registration.

Once you have completed the course, we can assist you with the RYT 500 registration process.
